stefan, I'm interested how you get across the problem of the lack of wide angle and shift lenses for the ZD ?
haven´t realy found a perfect solution either, I am afraid. the 50mm shift is a good lens. quite sharp and no distortion. ...

tot I should share what I know also, I'll echo the view that the 50mm is very good very minimal distortion. I use the 35mm AF also, I think mine has abit of misalignment on the lens as sharpness on both sides won't be equal until about f11 f16. The lens also distorts. I use PT lens to correct for the distiotion and it works quite well.

I have the 24mm fisheye, which after de-fishing offers quite a good angle of view.

I use these lenses in combination with PT lens to stitch multiple images when I can't cover the angle. The final image after the manipulation looks like a sideway hourglass, something like this
"DC" which means the sides are very stretched, and you lose alot of details on the edges.

All these are compromises, I've yet to experiment enough to gather enough info on which method offers the best quality.

so do I. I havent actually got an profile for the mamiya 35mm, but there are a few profiles from canon cameras that mach the distortion perfectly.

for stitching purposes you would defenetely be better with a zörk shiftadapter.
you take three shots (shift to the left middle right) and stitch in PS - they allign nearly perfectly. (perhaps if we get enough interessted photographers here for a small order of the pentax 67 to mamiya645 shiftadapter I could try to get a good price from Mr. Zörkendorfer?)

maybe the pentax 67 lenses (just). You should be able to get about 20mm shift. It just depends how good/sharp the 67 lenses are in the outer area. But I dont realy want to by the adapter plus lenses to find out, that they are no use.

I'm attatching a file to show the coverage from a 24mm fisheye on a Mamiya, vs a 24mm TS from the canon 24mm TS on a 5D.

Remember, the image from the 5d is about 4300pixels across while that of the mamiya about 4000 across. I had to resize the images to get the subject to match with the same number of pixels.

The image from the 5d is definately superior, but not by too much.
