Processing for Print vs Monitor Display
« on: January 19, 2007, 02:27:15 am »

I've been using Photoshop for about 3 years (CS version currently).  But due to living on the road for 2+ years, have done very little printing.  Now I have a good "desktop and 'calibrated' widescreen monitor" from Dell.

I'm keeping the tonal range between 10 and 245 for the most part, and usually lighten the midtones a bit with curves if it looks like it might print dark.

Is there anything else I should be doing or considering when preparing a file for printing (as opposed to viewing on a monitor)?  (aside from the usual color, contrast, sat, burning/dodging and sharpening)?

Thanks for your feedback!
