If you are already an Epson user, the 3800 is a no brainer. The driver has similar functionality, so you can get up and going right away. I really love mine, I've been using Epson's since 1998. That's why I went with it, I know their menus and controls inside and out. With custom profiles, botique papers like Innova FibaPrint F look dead-neutral in B&W, and I am satisfied with color and B&W on Epson papers as well.
Sure, maybe one day I will own an HP or a Canon, but this one does what I need it to do.
