Epson throughput data
« on: January 11, 2007, 03:49:02 pm »

When I perform a "nozzle check" within the Epson Printer utility it prints out:
Cur. InkCount:
Cur. PperCount:

The papercount data is in cm. This is a linear measurement not an
area measurement. How is this meaningful as a throughput measurement.?

Meaningful? It isn't at all. Especially as I often print out A4-sized borders on roll paper to cut using scissors into A4. Then each sheet is fed maybe 4 times to print a postcard sized image each time to check colors etc. This counts as 5 times an A4, while only a single A4-size has been printed in the end.
