I have used the sensor brushes from  visiblebrush.com with good success on my aptus 65 back. Minimal invasive and effective.

I use the visible dust arctic butterfly and it works great to remove dust. Visible dust sells several brushes so I'm sure there's one that's right for your sensor.

I have a few smudgy spots on my Valeo that I'd like to just use my t-shirt to wipe off but I know better. Is there a cleaning solution and cloth that I should use to clean the sensor?

I just recently received my Aptus 22 from Calumet London.
It came with a pack of 15 wipes made by a company in Germany and labeled ClearClean Microweb.
I had to buy the recommended Isopropyl Alcohol also made by ClearClean (apparently it couldn't be sold as part of the Aptus kit - something to do with transporting/importing the alcohol) The 200ml bottle cost about £11 from Calumet, and I am sure a replacement pack of wipes would not cost much either.
I haven't had to use them yet as the sensor is still clean, but this does seem to be the recommended method by Leaf and the instruction manuals that came with the Aptus show how to use this exact method.

I would be interested for peace of mind what experiences others have had with this... any pitfalls to look out for?
Thanks.

Visibledust makes a solution and i have it but have not used it yet. i used to use dedicated solutions on my canon DSLR sensors without any problem.

I used the sensor brush on my Canon 1DsMII and it work on getting all the dust off the sensor. On the Phase One back, I just used the cleaning kit that comes with the back and clean air to get the dust off. It works on getting the sensor clean.
