The point I was making, for the sake of the OP, was that Assign & Convert were the two primary actions regarding associating or changing the meaning or appearance of an image's color.

Embed is a separate act required when saving a file. The OP wanted to know the differences between assign, convert and embed...and there ARE differences if you wish to be as explicit as possible.

And I'm not "on your back", bud...if I were you would know it...

I'm just trying to be as accurate and explicit as possible so as to help people who may be mystified or confused...
