JFI B&W profiles for Capture One
« on: December 16, 2006, 08:37:43 pm »

I downloaded the demo for these and all I can say is WOW! I have gotten perfectly neutral prints from my Epson 9800 without the use of the B&W mode, I did a comparison between the two modes and they were identicle in every area.

I tried it on my 2200 which is is not a good B&W printer unless you are using Imageprint. I had perfectly neutral prints from that machine also, something I have never been able to do before. It is all done in Capture One, just apply the film profile you want and do some fine tweaking and your done. This is a nice inexpensive plug in for Capture One

Marty,
Can you point us to the "Demo", I must be blind or sleep deprived as I don't see anything like "trial" or "demo" on the JBI website.

I had downloaded a Demo from the Phase One site back in Oct. when it was in beta. With the C1 forums being down I guess the beta is no longer there. I did buy the profiles and I am very very happy with it. I know there site is not very good but the profiles are.

Marty which package do you have, the "B&W Films" or the "B&W Toolkit?"

I have both the film profiles and the tool kit. I only wish there was documentation for the tool kit.

I just got curious myself. And their prices look cheap enough so that a "demo" isn't really necessary.
