which Epson paper is similar to Satin Paper?
« on: November 30, 2006, 11:35:45 pm »

I am very new to this forum. Please help me with my emergency problem.
I am doing a photography project and I need to print my photos with Epson 7800 printer.
The type of paper that my professor suggests me is Satin Paper,
but according to Macpro sales people, I just knew Epson doesn't make Satin Paper.
Therefore, I am wondering which type of Epson paper is the most similar to Satin Paper?
The sales people suggests me Epson Luster paper, but should I go with it?
I've never seen Satin paper, so it is very hard for me to compare by myself. Thank you for your help. Please help me.
I need to place the order tomorrow.

The Epson Premium Luster Photo paper is an excellent choice. It has a very high Dmax. I have used it many times on my 4800. Just make sure you have photo black ink (PK) installed in your 7800.

Either the Epson Premium Luster 260 or the Premium Semimatte. The difference between these two papers is subtle, but the semimatte has a finer tooth, and probably more like a "satin". I believe Bill Atkinson has profiles for both of these papers.

You can't go wrong if you choose either of these papers.
