I owned a ProBack once

Noisy long exposures (two seconds)

Questionable repair/spare parts and back up now it is out of production

I think the phase would be far better supported if there was a problem

Phase 16 bit files

PB not 16 bit

----------------

Did I read you have a 1ds2 on another post - If so why you want 16mp back ?

My experience of a 16mp back was it just got me hooked to MF and I ended up getting a 22mp within 6 months having lost money on the sale of the PB

I have both and i cant see the difference in the printed output. I know the specs are meant to be different, but I can't fault either back.

The only difference to me is the ISO usability.. For my print size, i can easily get away with printing ISO800 P20 files. But you'll read in this form people who will never go above ISO 200. Same goes for the kodak. I can easily get away with ISO400 images.

Regarding the 16bit V 12bit. I really wonder if this can be tested and measured somehow? The DR in print from my S3 (14bit) is more then a match compared to my P20.

cheers,
