Epson 7800/9800 or wait for Canon?

I've pretty much decided to purchase an Epson 7800 or 9800 and the ColorByte ImagePrint RIP with Phatte Black cartidges. My only hesitation is all the wonderful impressions I read about the Canon iPF5000. Might it be worth it to wait until Canon comes out with the larger versions of that printer and ColorByte finishes the RIP for it?

Well, the iPF8000 is now added to the mix! 44 inches. No reviews but I suppose it's like the 5000 only bigger...and maybe with an improved level of software (?)
