Great landscape and wonderful photographs!
As Sichuan is a bit larger than California (450'000 km2 according to Wikipedia), can you tell us a bit more about its highlights?
And how did you get there and around? As far as I've heard it's not easy to travel China on your own without the help of a local resident.

Thanks for your comments. The images were taken over the course of 2 weeks in 3 main locations
- Jiuzhaigou,
- Huanglong
- Sukuunianshan
All 3 are located north of Chendgu. The 2 first ones are close to one another and easy to get to by domestic plane from Chendgu, while the 3rd one is 12 nightmarish hours of bus away from Chendgu, a bit less known and a lot less visited. It does offer pretty amazing Alpine views though with peaks up to 6200 m (18.500 feet). We only hiked up to 4100 m though (about 12.000 feet).
The only problem with travelling in Shichuan is the language barrier. Few locals speak any English, and we had mostly to get help from Chinese friends we knew in other parts of the country (Shanghai) through phone, or people we met by chance who could speak French, Japanese or English.
My friend and I being able to read some Japanese helped a bit with the Chinese characters on written signs, menus and documents, but is obviously of zero help as far as undertanding the Shichuan dialect.
Nonetheless, we encountered zero problem and the trip went per the plan although we had not planned it in a very detailed way.
Cheers,
Bernard
