Canon PIXMA Pro9000 Printer

Any users of the PIXMA Pro9000 and how does it compare with the Canon i9900?

I'm hoping to get a printer with Canon's highly appreciated i9900 but with archival prints and great B&W prints.

When my i9900 stopped working (mainboard needs replacement), I purchased a Pro9000 but returned it after 10 days.
I did not make any high-quality photo tests and the quality of normal prints (graphics and tests) were the same as the i9900 as far as I can tell.
The problem was the paper handling. It has more options than the i9900 (straight path from the front) but the normal path from the top tray returned 8 out of ten misaligned prints. It grabs the paper so violently that the sheet gets skewd and often crippled. I had to try to hold the sheets with two hands to help it go straight... what a PITA!
If you exclusively use heavy paper maybe you won't see this behavior, but I use my printer for several prupose so I found a discounted new i9900.
