Hello Victor,

One of my neighbors is one of the biggest NYC wedding photographers.  I won't say his name,

prints the entire job with two 1280's he has working non stop.

Well, I use to have a 1270 (same ink as 1280) . The prints self-destructed very quickly, even in storage. Maybe this guy makes his money off reprints.

One of my neighbors is one of the biggest NYC wedding photographers.  But he still shoots with a four year old Nikon Digital body.  Not even one of the high end pro ones, a prosumer model.  Does all his portraits with an RZ on film and prints the entire job with two 1280's he has working non stop.

The key word there is weddings. Most prints are at most 8x10's. His clients are mostly not knowledgable in photography, You could do very well with a digital rebel and a few lenses. Its when you give images to an art or creative director of an ad agency who then views it on a 30in Apple LCD that you need to start looking into serious gear. You cant just show up with any DSLR.

Couldn't agree with you more.  That is why I have spent insane amounts of money and time on gear and learning it.

Ahhh, the good Ol'd days of 400nc shot at 250 and run normal.

P45 Question

regarding P45 (I guess  P25 and P30  ) files and PS  ,
( it is " unofficially"  supported  since several versions of ACR )

I think recent Adobe Camera raw ACR 3.6
gives a decent coversions miles better then  3.4 ,

I like ability of seeing / opening files in Bridge .
I hate C1 for its cluttered workspace .

Any P45 files opens much faster in ACR 3,6 then in C1 .

It is easy to make contact prints and web galleries from Bridge .

Hi

I try to open a P30 file in ACR 3.6, but it only open a small thumbnail file, not the TIF file.

Any suggestion?
