Is there any notification sent out that our subscription has expired/all 4 issues sent?

Yes & no . . .

There is no automatic sending of emails from L-L - that's the No part.

But

1. You can always go to your Account History page by logging in on the shopping cart - IF you have purchased a subsc there since November '05. Log In link

2. If however you are on our old database (subsc. purchase prior to Nov '05), Steven Sauve will send you a reminder within three months of the shipment of your last issue.

Or you are always welcome to drop Steven an email to ask

I, for one, would like the option of shipping by UPS for my next subscription (or even for issues 16-18 on my current subscription.) I notice that alternate shipping choices are currently available only for single issues, and not for renewals.

If that option were there, the size of forum threads about eagerly waiting for the next issue would shrink considerably (my issue #15, shipped Oct. 10, still has not arrived.)

I also would do this if I could upgrade my current subscription to include UPS.

I wouldn't, but that's because I'm a horribly slow snail. I've just started viewing #14 ... Ouch.

We have looked long and hard at the option of adding UPS or FedEx delivery for DVDs subsequent to the initial subscription purchase. Unfortunately, it is simply not possible with our shoppingcart software.

How about this as a temporary workaround (reading between the lines, I surmise that the UPS option may be added for renewals, at the time of renewal, in the not-too-distant future):

A current subscriber wanting to switch to UPS checks his/her account to see what issues are remaining, and sends an email to Steve Sauve indicating a desire to switch to UPS for the remaining 1, 2, or 3 issues. Steve replies with the additional shipping cost and an address for sending a check or credit card info to.) If the subscriber still wants to, he/she can then send a check (or credit card info), as long as there is sufficient time for it to clear before shipping of the next DVD. Steve could then maintain a manual list of those that get the UPS delivery. From the noise on the forum, I would guess that this would be a small number.

Once the UPS option is available for renewals through the shopping csrt software, this manual procedure would no longer be needed.

Just my 2C.

Thanks for the suggestion Eric. That is one method of several options we will look at. The only problem: it is really time-consuming to manually parse and edit our ship files for a new issue.

I'm happy (well, let's say "willing") to wait for the UPS/FedEx options to appear on the renewal (Gosh! When can I expect issues 18? Pant - pant!). If your shopping cart software can add the shipping options for renewals, that will do it for me.

Thanks for all your attention to this annoyance, and a very great Thank You for a great product!
