epson 3800 blue cast on Archmatt
« on: July 23, 2018, 10:56:16 am »

Hi guys,
since recently I am on 10.13.6. High sierra, I am experiencing a weird blue shift when printing with the Epsonprofile I always used.
Anybody having the same issue?
My softproofing in LR looks fine, but the printed result is a lot more Blue.
I have printed on archmatt or enhanced matt for years with this profile.
could it be corrupted or has something changed with the HighSierra update ?

can't quite find an explanation...
cheers
Stephan

Wow,
just found something very weird...
took another file to check if the printer was having any nozzle issues. when I pressed S for soft proofing it showed the PRO38 profile, that had been missing before, but when i selected that, the colors were fine. then I switched to the one I had created years ago for this paper, the colors were totally out of whack. and get this... the PRO38 profile was gone from the list...
will report further

You can try going Utilities / ColorSync Utility / Profile First Aid.
A lot of problems get reported but not all are serious.

have now reinstalled the printer, the original Epson profiles are back. Reprinting right now...
