Phase One New Lower Prices and Demo Backs
« on: October 11, 2006, 07:39:10 pm »

I hear all the time that digital backs are overpriced and "I can't afford a 30k digital back".  I am new to this forum but I wanted to post some prices that may suprise some of you.

Today we have in stock:

Phase One H10 11mp Demo $2490
Phase One H20 16mp Demo $4990
Phase One P20 16mp Demo $8990 (20 months of Value added warranty left)

And brand new P20 for Mamiya 645AFD $6,990 (Classic 1 yr Warranty)

The quality of a digital back is not out of the reach.  I noticed the post about Leaf here so I wanted to post other prices on the market.  If this was not normal for this forum please let me know and I will not do so again.

Sincerely,

I find it useful to have some visibility on the actual prices of MFDB.

Dave,

Good to know but why not list the prices on your website?

Doug,

Honestly, we have it on the list but we haven't been able to keep up with the demand.  It is the end of the year and we are just trying to keep up with the current orders.  It is a good problem to have so believe me that I am not compaining.  Just understaffed for some things.

The difference is that with a Phase One H10 11mp it can be mounted with a view camera and some decent glass

Three side stitches and what you got??

33MP super wide angle 16 bit glory

What a bargain - something I have been arguing for ages

Just wondering if this will be upgraded to the P20+ as per Michael's Video-blog report from Photokina.

I think i remember the Phase One guy saying if you buy a new Phase One now, it will be upgraded for nothing to the + when they come out early next year.

No, that's not what was said.

What was said was that, if you buy a P20+ now, you get to start using a P20 immediately until the P20+ become available.

The price of the P20+ is higher that that of the P20.

Bernard

I could imagine a very interesting market developing in trade-ins if dealers knew they can get them back on the market quickly ...
