Had a great 3 week trip to South Dakota, Wyoming, Montana and Utah.
Here are some shots taken north of Jackson, Wy. towards the end of May.

Good stuff, particularly the last. They certainly don't belong in the "show us your pets" thread!

Nice shots, indeed.

Some people like to have unconventional pets! Here, I learned that there's a category for those pets. They call them NOC which stands for nouveaux animaux de compagnie.

A cousin of mine had a pet ocelot many years ago. I think it didn't last long in captivity, alas.

At least it was the pet that didn't survive.

I had an aunt in Yucatan
Who bought a python from a man
And kept it as a pet.
She died, because she never knew
These simply little rules and few:
The snake is living yet.

(Belloc, sadly, not me).

My former colleague Michael B. and his wife, Jasmine, had friends who owned a pair of chinchillas. Whenever the friends took a vacation Mike & Jas took care of the beasties. He always referred to 'em as chimichangas, and after one particularly long vacation threatened to return 'em cooked up on a plate.  ;)
