need Canon i9900/i9100 repair manual
« on: October 11, 2006, 12:38:31 am »

My i9900 printer decided to lock the print head in the power off position and I haven't figured out how to unlock it. Since I have an Epson 1280 with a MediaStreet Niagara and pigment ink, getting the Canon working has not been high on my priority list.

I did pull off the the silver cover on the right by the power switch but then there is a rather solid body casting covering the print head.

Does anyone know where I can get a repair manual for an i9900/i9100. Since the printer is set-up with a CIS system, it is awkward to transport it to a repair shop. As well as the issue of "modifying" the printer.

thanks in advance, Nigel

Another source is :  http://www.smpcshop.com/  ... they are much cheaper and the download is almost immediate ... they also take paypal ... many many manuals available.
