Very nice, Fursan.

You do get to some exotic and beautiful places.

Thanks a bunch Eric.
After a cardiac infarction, I applied for an early retirement. This was followed shortly by another cardiac failure requiring a triple bypass.

My wife and I started traveling seriously around the globe. She is a mountain climber and an international marathon runner ( not for a place but just to compete and complete ).
Even before I retired, our journeys took us to some of the famous mountain ranges across the globe. Now, I cannot accompany her on her climbs, but hang around the nearest towns or villages.
We are grandparents.

Another one from Georgia...

Much appreciated Shawn. Thank you.

And a last one, heading up into the mountains on a cold dull day...

Fantastic!  I love the juxtaposition of the wild chaos of nature and the geometric perfection of the apparently man-made lake.  (a mine?)

Beautiful shots. The first landscape looks rugged, almost hostile and the man-made circular shape is welcome.
The other images are also interesting, especially the one of the village in the darkness. I can feel the cold creeping in.
Well done.

Peter, Francois..thanks for stopping by.

Peter, I did not go down! However, I was told that that was a natural water lake ( fed by the snow from the surrounding mountains ) around which a strengthening structure has been built.
