Hi all,

My co-worker just bought a new 20D.  Since he got it for a low price.  He was wondering if that unit is refurblished.    Is there a canon site we can find out by putting the serial number?   Or Is there a direct number we can call and find out.

Regards
Ced

And does he have it in hand yet, or was it purchased online and has yet to arrive?

Sure got quiet

To anyone else reading this and thinking about these VERY common SCAMS...his 'co-worker (coughyeahrightcough)' most likely flushed a chunk of money away to a scam site.  They have been around for years, selling many relatively expensive electronics item for WAY below going rate.  Wow, imagine that, the items never appear!

Common sense protects most people from these things.  For everyone else, the 'ol adage 'if it seems too good to be true, it probably is' holds true.

If this guy ever comes back - I'd paypal him $5 for a picture of the 20D on top of the invoice
