FS: Samyang 14/2.8 ED AS IF UMC Lens for Nikon.

One would almost think I'm taking this Spring gear clean-out process seriously...

For sale is one of the slam-dunk great buys in glass these days. Very, very sharp & well corrected lens that hist well above it's pay grade, but I just never use it.  Very nice copy. Glass pristine, focus smooth, spent 90% of it's life stored. The center sharpness wide open, even at MFD, would be amazing for glass 3x the price.

As is the norm for the various Samyang/Rokinon/Bowers versions of this len, the distance scale on the lens was way off reality, making 'set & shoot' difficult. As a result, the focus ring was adjusted (using the accepted method below) so that when it said it was focused at say 3', the subject was actually 3' away.

Adjustment method (in Spanish, but self explanatory & there are various English versions around):

Naturally, one side effect of adjusting the distance marker is that when the lens is at the infinity hard stop, the marker doesn't align with the infinity symbol. The new owner can adjust to their preference, but it's really a bit of a moot point.

Comes with caps, hood and maybe box.

US$260 includes shipping in N.A. by Canada Post Normal Post. Payment by PP (add 3.5%) or EMT if in Canada.
