Perched and vigilant, I like the orange "shoes".

When they enter their breeding stage, anywhere on them that has color, especially around the area where the beak meets the eyes, the color intensify. One of the lowliest of all the Egrets, the Cattle Egret is often one of the most beautiful when in breeding plumage.
