Breathtaking not only because of its history but for the 551 steps.

Very nice again! You make me miss that fine city! It's been way too long...

Nice photos!

My sister lives southeast (Arpino) of Rome and your images remind me to visit her again - maybe in autumn.

Nice photos of such an interesting place. I have not been since the 1980's and this makes me want to go back!

I was joking about the sixth photograph... ;) The tabby cat (=gatto soriano) in Cimino (=nel Cimino - Cimino is a mount) or  even "gatto soriano in Soriano nel Cimino..."
(Yes, I admit: it is not a very smart pun... :-[)

Lovely - I like what you did with the sky on the first image in the thread.  Technical question - is this a stitched panoramic?

Thanks! No it is only one photo, I shot it with an 10 mm lens, I wanted to get more of the view. I think this one was shot with a 50 mm lens.

Mike we stayed in Sorianno nel Cimino ...
Looks nice!  I've only passed Viterbo, traveling to Arpino where my sister lives.  It's a long drive from the Cologne area and by the time I reach the Rom area, I'm struggling to stay alert.  No time for seeing the sites or for photography.

Some day I'll need to visit some places north of Rom.  My sister knows some nice places there, maybe I'll travel with her.  I've got two years till retirement, so should have more time then.
