H3D-22 & H3D-39 capture rate vrs Leaf/Phase
« on: October 01, 2006, 03:26:56 am »

Hi
I am just looking at the spec sheet for the new Hasselblad. Capture rate is 2 sec. The Sinar E-motion 22 is about  1.0 sec. The new aptus backs are 545S .9 sec, 75S 1.1 sec ( the Aptus 22 I use is 1.2 sec ) and Phase has jusy announced a big speed increase too!!! Now lets talk iso Aptus 75 is at 800 & Phase is about to go to 1600 iso. The new Hasselblad H3D is 400 iso. I shoot tethered in the studio and 2 sec is way too slow! My ZD is 1.2 sec. So if you are going into a closed loop system your D back should be the best. I am staying with my Mamiya and will look at the Rolie when it comes out.
Thanks Denis

it is simply a joke...they did not even upgrade the back...leaf, phase and sinar all have backs that shoot faster, to higher asa and with more mature software (without color problems)...all their backs were a little step up from the imacon backs anyway...and they all improved them even more...better screen, faster shooting, even higher asa....it really looks like the only R&D that went into the H3D was to make it propriatory...great..a big step in the right direction...
