Sigma Art lenses with teleconverters
« on: April 01, 2018, 12:24:51 am »

Has anyone tried using a Sony teleconverter on a Sigma Art lens attached to a Sony lens via an adapter? If so, does it work, and does AF remain functional?

I know the Canon and Nikon versions don't take teleconverters natively, due to the position of the rear element, but the EF-to-E-mount adapter leaves plenty of room for a teleconverter's protruding elements, as should the Sony-mount version of the lenses.

Just trying to decide between the 105/1.4 with TC and 135/1.8 - if the 105/1.4 can be used with a teleconverter, it may give more flexibility than the 135/1.8, as well as possibly better bokeh.
