Status of blooms on the california carrizo plain national monument

Has anybody visited the california carrizo plain national monument in 2018 and any information about the status of the blooms?

The DesertUSA Wildflower reports states: Mar 9, 2018 Carrizo Plain National Monument reports: "Outlook is not good for wildflowers this year."

Last year we had a record rainfall which lead to the "Super Bloom" of 2017. Not going to happen this year.  :(
