I purchased this book and read almost all of it. I am very interested in their processing methods. The methods described by Julia were very detailed in concept, but not enough in demonstrating the techniques. The chapters by Joel were sketchy and detailed hardly enough. His explanation was confusing and assumed you already how to use his techniques and
Needed much more detailed descriptions. The chapter on his advanced methods using Luminosity masks was not adequate and assumes you already has detailed knowledge of using these, and did not really explain them enough.
They both offer additional videos at extra cost that may go into the detailed need, but that is an additional expense if one wants to pursue them.
IMOP, if one is interested in learning their processing secrets, this book is not for you. It may be better to skip the book and just buy the extra videos.
