It looks like he's had the name since the mid-1970s, so I'd imagine that he's on safe ground. Maybe he should sue Adobe :-)

I actually adopted the name about 1992, for my Cibabchrome printing lab I had been running under my own name since 1975. Way before Adobe appropriated it...

When Adobe Lightroom first came out, I visited their booth at MacWorld and showed my my business card, "The least you can do is give me a free tee-shirt." They did.
