I just downloaded and updated to the new firmware.

With a dumb adapter (I use a Fotodiox) the new crop function to 36x24mm works fine. It restricts aspect ratio to 3:2. I would have preferred to have the choice, but in general this crop function is a great idea.

But with my Techart smart adapter the function is greyed out in the GFX menu and can not be activated.
The manual from Fuji says: "35 mm format mode is enabled automatically when a mount adapter that supports automatic detection is attached." I don't get what that means.

Fact is that at the moment the function does not work with my Techart smart adapter. To me it is unclear if this is a problem on the Fuji side or on the Techart side.
What about the Steelsring? Has anyone using this adapter tried?

Regards - Marc

I think the reason the smart adapters don't work is that they are designed such that, from the camera's point of view, they appear to be a native lens.
That's my guess anyway, as I've heard that the Fringer adapter (and I know that the Steelsring adapter) have the same issue.
