Windows updated, now photoshop will not print
« on: March 08, 2018, 05:23:55 pm »

I get this message (see attached).  I was able to send a test print from the printer setup page, but photoshop always brings this up now.

I updated photoshop, but that did not help.

After clicking on "print", I get the error message, and after that the print options are grey in the menu and don't function.

Any smarter windows people have a suggestion????

Thanks!!!

Can you see the printer or print from another application?

from the windows printer control panel, I was able to print a test page that verified that the printer and driver were functioning.  I haven't tried another app yet, but I will when I get home.

Might this be something with Adobe not seeing my account and that it's been paid up?

Never hurts to delete Photoshop's preferences!

Press and hold Alt+Control+Shift (Windows) or Option+Command+Shift (Mac OS) immediately after launching Photoshop. You will be prompted to delete the current settings.

Remove and reinstall the printer if clearing Ps prefs doesn't help.  Particularly if this was the Creator's Update to Win 10.

Yes, Clearing the prefs didn't work... and it is the "creator's update", whatever that means...  I'll try removing and installing the printer...

Thanks.

I'm glad you got that sorted.
Really frustrating.

The Creator's Update generally has been really good, but I have heard of a few cases where it's screwed with printer drivers - seems you copped that, but glad it's all working now!
