Dolomites morning view
« on: March 02, 2018, 03:47:31 pm »

The following was shot in June 2017 during one of my Dolomites workshops. We were high up over Passo Sella overlooking the Sella mountain when the early morning light was coming in. It was quite amazing to see.

It was shot with the Nikon D810 and the Nikkor 24-70 F72.8G lens at 24mm.

Really wonderful image! They just don't make that light everyday...

Thanks very much for the comments and glad you liked it. It was quite cold to shoot it  :)

Quite cold with that fiery sky? I'm kidding, of course.
The result is superb and well worth the "soon forgotten" coldness.

Beautiful.  Probably painfully early, but worth it for the result.

Excellent  :)

Hans don't you find that you only feel the early morning cold before and after the light show happens, but during the time when it is happening it's more like, cold? What cold? I haven't got time to feel cold...

I've found that cropping 1/4 top makes it even more magical.

The atmosphere is more fascinating.
