Epson R3000 - whirring and churning :-)
« on: March 02, 2018, 04:16:56 am »

My Epson R3000 is whirring and churning and grumbling and groaning before every print. I assume that it's a head cleaning routine of some sort but it takes time and (more importantly) ink, so I wish it would stop! I wonder if there's a way to clean the heads once and for all, or if it's just a phase the printer's going through and it'll settle down after a while ... ?

(I should say that I am just now getting back to using it after it sat in a corner for a while, so perhaps I am paying the price for neglect...)

I vaguely remember I had this problem,when I had the R3000.
How long did you have sitting ,?
Did you unplug it?
I would do some nozzle checks, and cleaning if necessary, maybe 2-3,then let the printer sit overnight.,also I recommend you do NOT turn it off.,leave it on.
