Pentax K-1 Mark II DSLR camera rumors are rising
« on: February 20, 2018, 09:15:59 am »

Hi folks,

There is an increasing buzz about a new Pentax K 1 mark II, which supposedly allows shooting with an improved pixel shift resolution mode, handheld(!). Apparently, they figured out a way to utilize camera vibration instead of 1 pixel shift, thanks to a new accelerator chip.

I'm sure more details will become available soon.

Cheers,
Bart

It’s out now. Time will tell how much better the pixel shift is. I would like it to be awesome so it forces the others’ hand to provide something similar.

Sounds great, if only the K1 was used by more than "camera collectors". :-)

Canon or Nikon should just licence this technology to make it available to a significant number of photographers.

Cheers,
Bernard

I have no expectations from Nikon to implement this. Maybe dream about the accelerometer but not IBIS.
I was thinking more about Sony, Pana/Oly and potentially Fuji.
