Ernst?

Yep, it's yet another demonstration of digital dyslexia.

And it's getting worse by the day. I no longer know if it's brain, or eyesight or simply fingers with a mind of their own...

I think Rob is trying to claim that he is "Ernsier than thou."   8)

That was just my petty revenge for the Saine typo  ;) ;D

But in all seriousness, Ernst Haas has been my idol ever since I bought his book The Creation. That was the time and place (socialistic Belgrade) when getting such book was an accomplishment. His ability to depart from reality while still retaining the inherent photographic veracity was stunning.

That is a very appropriate description of his work.

Can it be obtained? I thought it was out of print.

I'm thinking of buying the latest one: Color Corrections (Steidl).

Just had another look at the Color Corrections video, and if reminds me again of the magic of Kodachrome, and how much was possible before Photoshop... Also, there's no denying that the USA was designed with photography in mind!

There were two versions of "The Creation," the second being more inclusive of other world faiths. Both showcase Haas wonderful photos.

Well, charity begins at home; just bought myself a Velentine present: Color Correction. Who says dead heroes can't take it with them? This one is still earning!
