Sam,
As was found at Sinar's web site:
[a href=\"http://www.sinar.ch/site/index__gast-e-1068-23-1150-urlvars-rand-912.html]http://www.sinar.ch/site/index__gast-e-106...s-rand-912.html[/url]

Leica Camera AG, Solms, takes over 51% of the shares of Sinar AG, Feuerthalen/Switzerland, from JENOPTIK Laser, Optik, SystemeGmbH, Jena ("JENOPTIK"). JENOPTIK and Leica Camera AG have signed corresponding acquisition and transfer contracts on September 25, 2006. Confidentiality was agreed concerning the transfer price.

The existing technical cooperation between JENOPTIK and Sinar AG concerning digital camera backs will be continued.

Interesting

I think sinar have totally lost the plot with with thier over priced super solutions that dont solve many problems

a system that involved buying lenses of the same focal lenght twice - lenses more expensive than many of thier competitors

Leica make nice stuff too - but also useless with the 'crop factor' and small files

Well maybe not useless but very much 'gentlemans hobby' gear that doesnt really stack up against things like the D200 unless money is not an object

Together they will either completely dissapear up each other

Or produce something useful - a mechanical, 250 synch MF range finder

Considering that the eMotion 22 was an eyelike prouct originally, is there any indication if the new Sinar eXposure 6.0 software will support the eMotion22?

No press releases on the Eyelike website I could see. Are they continuing the with the eMotion backs?
