New Lightroom Tutorial DVD
« on: September 23, 2006, 10:19:43 am »

I have received a couple of complaints about the sound quality on the latest Lightroom beta 3 Tutorial DVD.

Has anyone similar complaints of low sound levels and high noise?

Thanks

Hello Chris,
I have only watched the first couple of segments on a MacBook Pro and found no problems with sound quality.  I will update if I find other players or segments to be problematic.  Thanks for the update and for the hard work on the project.

I've watched it from end to end: excellent production quality, no sound problems, marvelous work.

Thanks everyone. I get worried when I get two complaints about the same thing back to back. My guess is player software mis-setting . . .

The sound quality is fine, but when I play the interview with Mark Hamburg it skips and jumps and the sound skips, could it be a bad DVD?

Possible but unlikely.
- Check for dirt or a hair.
- Look for a scratch.
- Try on a DVD player - if you are on a computer DVD drive.
- If all else fails, send an email to Steven Sauve and ask for a replacement.

Chris there are one or two dropouts where Michael moves and we only get the room mic, but it's certainly not an issue. (in the interview section).

I didn't notice any problems with the DVD.
I thought it was very useful. The pacing was slow enough that I could play around with my copy at the same time as I viewed it.
The interview at Adobe was very well done, no talking down to the audience, no fear of discussing technical issues.
