New papers - Permanence
« on: September 19, 2006, 07:56:36 am »

With the addition onto the market of some of the new papers such as Innova Fibre Gloss (and its variations from Permajet, Da Vinci and Fotospeed), Hahnemhule Fine Art Pearl and Crane Silver Rag - does anyone have any clue what their permanence ratings are with pigment inks?

I like many others am taken with the quality and tactile feel of these new papers and what they have to offer to both colout and black and white, but its difficult to sell prints on these papers without having some idea if I am going to be replacing the whole lot in a few years time!

I have trawled the NET but no one seems to comit to anything (at least Ilford and Epson give a rough idea)

Anyone have any clues?

Cheers,

Jon
