Canon (iPF670) ejecting blank pages on it's own
« on: December 03, 2017, 09:56:19 am »

I manage a Canon iPF670 at another place, and it has started ejecting blank pages on it's own. That is, it just ejects and cuts roughly an A1, blank, no attempt at printing, at random. It's on a network, but only one workstation is using it, running Windows 10. Some mobile devices and an occasional laptop is on the network as well. Those ejected pieces of paper have not been user requested, and as far as I recall, didn't have a username on them either in the printers job log (as the requested jobs always have).

It has happened a handful of times now within a couple of weeks (printer is always on). As the printer sometimes have more expensive media loaded than regular mat coated poster paper, it's less than ideal. Even if only poster paper, it's an annoyance.

Has anyone else experienced this strange behaviour and can come up with a fix?
