Canon Pro-4000 second roll and sheet feeding
« on: December 02, 2017, 07:32:08 am »

It’s really easy to switch between roll and sheet with only the single roll feeder. If I add the second roll unit does it make it any more difficult? Do I need to manually respool  all of the second roll to clear the sheet fed paper path?

The second roll and the first you alternate as you wish.
It is not perfect, sometimes it fails .. but it is great to have two rollers.
On the printer panel you have the option of choosing which roll to print, and the machine pulls automatically.

The option of which roll to choose from on the computer will also work in the settings from the program you're using.  It will offer both rolls if they are loaded and you won't have to go to the printer to choose it; the computer tells which roll to print from and it automatically switches if needed.  Nice feature from Canon for sure.

Sorry I don’t think I made my question very clear. If I have the second roll installed but I want to load a cut sheet of paper, do I have to respool the second roll of paper to clear the path for manually inserting a cut sheet?
