Redeye Reduction in Luminar
« on: November 23, 2017, 09:57:17 pm »

Just loaded Luminar and am getting used to the workflow.  One feature that is not in Luminar, that is in Aperture, is a redeye reduction tool.  I did some searching and, based on what has been done by others in Photoshop, it appears that one way for me to deal with red eyes is to use the 'clone and stamp' tool, sampling an iris color and painting over the red.  Another (which is beyond my current experience base) is to create a layer with just the red part of the eyes, recolor them and blend them on top of the image.

For those with experience manually fixing red eyes, am I on the right track?

Thanks much!

Tom

Luminar even states they don't address red eye correction...

Ron,

Yes I understand that Luminar does not have a redeye reduction tool.  To clarify, the intent of my post was to learn what others do/have done to address redeye issues in the absence of such a tool.  I provided two examples, based on my research, and invite others to comment.  Thanks.

My apologies, Tom.  I take a closer look tomorrow.
