Thanks Luminous Landscape
« on: November 20, 2017, 12:11:10 pm »

I appreciate this forum so much. I can always get an answer to help me out. That is invaluable. I'm sorry that I've been trying to win the forum idiot contest lately with my questions, but I so appreciate that I can ask them.

Thanks to everyone here.

Hi Sharon,

I think all of us share your view of the usefulness of this Forum. But please do not think of your questions as being anything less than legitimate. Digital imaging is a vast area of specialization with multitudes of people at different knowledge levels in each sub-set of expertise. We learn from each other all the time regardless of the level or the subject matter. You should not feel the least bit inhibited about seeking the answers you need both by reading existing material or asking for help where exactly what you're after isn't already addressed.

Sharon,

You are so right about this forum and about Mark's help.
I do have my own private list (that will NEVER be revealed) of my own candidates for the position of Forum Idiot, and you are most definitely not on the list.

I feel so fortunate that a friend pointed me to LuLa back shortly before I got into Digital, because everything I know about digital photography I have learned from folks who contribute regularly to LuLa. So let me add my thanks to everyone here; and thank you, Sharon, for reminding us that we have much to be thankful for.

Sharon, thanks for the post and I completely agree. I would be a lost (well, more lost) photographer without the resources and wonderful people here on this site and forum.

Ciao,

Yes indeed, even if an economist deserves only a 5 - looking back, I can actually relate to that. :-)

Happy to hear this.  The LuLa team is trying really hard to present good content and information.  We hope you like the new Leica series and the next Shooting With The Masters is just about ready to go.

Now that I am done an extensive few months of heavy travel I am doing catch up mode and finishing a lot of content on a lot of things I hope everyone finds interest is.  The forum is a great place to share and learn.  It's only as good as those that contribute.  So, all you lurkers out there, join in, please. And, to all of you, that participate in this forum regularly, thank you.

But Dave! Your list is of some of the Good apples in the pile, not the rotten ones on my list. If I showed you my list, I'd have to shoot you (with something other than a camera!)   ;D

Actually, I'll paste a copy of my list on the back of the print that I'm asking half a billion dollars for. The list comes along for free.   ;D

Real cheap. Only a quarter of a billion, Rob.
But fear not: You didn't make it onto my list, so not to worry.   ;)

After being away for many years, I decided to return here as well.  Couldn't remember my old ID and PW, so I start anew.  I always have found the forums here a breath of fresh air compared to a certain other sote.  Glad to be back.

The topic has been split at this point and a discussion on LuLa's video quality can be found here.
