An Australian Rainforest "battle"
« on: November 14, 2017, 07:46:58 pm »

Found this little "Daintree Rainforest pioneer" while on an easy hike south of Cape Tribulation, Queensland Australia. Almost walked passed this one,... which is,... hopefully,.... repeating itself many times a year.

I can't tell what it is besides leaves. Is it a beetle?

Mattburt,  In the image centre, it seems to me that a new plant (fern?) has just begun to sprout thru all the rainforest litter,.. that's what drew my attention while on a "tourist" walking trail.  Didn't have time to get more details (a more shots) as the group I was with moved on ,... too quickly for me.

Thanks for viewing.
