In case this hasn't been posted yet, Silkpix 3.0 Beta is now available for download in Japanese. I will be made commercially avaialbe on Sept 25th.
I have installed it and started to convert a few Nikon D80 images with it.
So far so good, the application is stable and fast, seemingly in the same league as RSP on my old Win XP workstation when reviewing the image full screen, perhaps a tad slower but completely usable for sure. No crash so far.
I am still very much learning the basics of the application, but it seems very powerful and the conversions seem excellent so far.
I don't really understand yet what is available in terms of workflow Mgt, but this might still be the weaker area of the application. TBC.
I'll have to compare them to Capture NX after I get NX, and also will try converting D2x images. Since the Beta2 of DxO was also made available today, I'll try comparing the 3 applications for D2x images.

Bernard
