Ultra-Fast Glass for Nikon F-Mount
« on: November 01, 2017, 03:59:02 pm »

I have been experimenting with ultra-fast glass that can be mounted on a Nikon or Bellow for some years. Some examples are the Nikkor “O” CRT 55mm f/1.2 lens, The Noct-Nikkor 58mm f/1.2, the Repro Nikkor 85mm f/1.0, and so on.

My question is what other ultra-fast lenses do we know about that can be mounted on a Nikon F-Mount”

Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks.

The lowly 50 mm f/1.2 manual lens (AIS). It is a common lens, and I believe new ones are still available for the die-hard manual lens enthusiasts. Double Gauss design, with all the wide-open issues that these have. It is a fun lens for general shooting, though.

If the question doesn't preclude the Nikkor 2/200 because it's a G type, then that's pretty fast for that focal length.
