is it possible to migrate the DAM system to another dam system?
As long as keywording is added to xmp sidecar data it's possible that other programs can pick it up.
eg Capture One picks up keywords, ratings etc.

Collections etc will have to be rebuilt, but with a sensible file structure it's nothing impossible.
Hopefully other vendors will see the opportunity to build import options to use LR catalogues for their own packages.

A promise doesn't mean for ever, does it? ;D
Only if it's a Kay Diamond!

Right, dumb collections. Proprietary. But smart collections should be easier to rebuild since they are based on metadata.
