Printing stops after about an inch of starting
« on: October 13, 2017, 03:32:36 am »

I am using a Epson P807, connected to my Apple Powerbook, and printing from Lightroom.
I am trying to print two images each A3 size, on an A2 sheet of paper.
about an inch is printed, then the paper is spat out by the printer.

This happened twice in a row
My error log shows a lot of gobbledigook, does anyone know what it means?

What's the total resolution of the images being sent?

I had something similar happen years ago on my Epson 4000 printer. In that case, I'd get an inch or two on roll paper and then it would stop. In that case, my image was too long for the specifications. After a call to Epson, I found out if I shortened the image a few inches it would work and it did. It could be that your image is too larger for the printer? Also, have you restarted both your MBP and printer to make sure it isn't simply a glitch?

Just a guess, since I'm not sure this is the problem.  On the printer Control Panel, make sure "Paper Size Check" is turned ON.  I rather doubt it would be anything that simple, but sometimes missing the simple things can cause a lot of issues.

Larry - The solution you discovered through Epson seems rather drastic.  However, it's been many years since I worked with a 4000, so that probably refers to the maximum length the printer could handle on roll
paper I assume.  Since I never used roll on the 4000 I would never have encountered that problem.  However, in Kees situation the maximum length issue would have no bearing, since he's working with sheet sizes.  I also
agree with Phil's request, referring to the total res of the image file being sent to the printer.  That can certainly cause negative results in some cases, although I'm not at all familiar with the limitations of the
           printer he is working with.
