A serene sunset at the Racetrack
« on: October 07, 2017, 02:55:26 am »

A serene Racetrack sunset, taken during my Workshop in Death Valley in winter 2017.

Leica S (007), Leica Vario-Elmar-S 30-90mm at 35mm and Formatt-Hitech Firecrest filters. Thanks for viewing, best regards

Lovely, subtle colours. Most of the pictures I've seen of this area have the "travelling rock" as the prominent feature, with the trail leading off toward the background. This one offers a different and refreshing perspective.

Another good one. Out of curiosity, I notice that your shots sometimes have an "earthly" or "brown" tonality to them. Works nice with this one.

Thank you very much Paulo, glad you liked it! :) About the "earthly" tones, I am trying to use tones that I feel go well with the scene; lately I posted Scotland and Death Valley, and for both these kind of colours worked well for me... glad you liked them here! :)

Best regards,
