Interesting choice of pose, frontal view, close crop.

Queen Máxima's make-up is a bit heavy for my taste. Princess Amalia's hair covering part of her face makes her look more slim, good choice. The others look very natural and relaxed.

Cheers,
Bart

I like the photo style (though the webpage keeps erroring out & reloading in mobile Safari on my iPad). Amalia looks a lot like the young American actress Elle Fanning. Each of the siblings has a distinct look in fact.

Yes, interesting. In the sense of digging through the bin in a desperate attempt to come up with something different. And different it was for a reason, the same reason it ended up in the bin in the first place. And should have stayed there.

The end must be indeed nigh, when the Dutch, usually perceived as tall and slim, are starting to look like Americans. Or was it the combination of focal length and distance? Phewww... all is good with the world, just some bad photography.

Slobodan, your problem with portrait focal lengths is a simple one: you should already know that photographing females in the family is a thankless task; they will almost never feel you got it right.

It's why I refuse to photograph civilians unless for some purpose of my very own, and on top of that, I would hate to show people the images on the back of the camera, especially in a working situation, because everything looks like shit until you get it into the computer and make the thing your own. Fortunately, though I did have a Polaroid back for the 'blads, I never had to use the thing in earnest.
