Question on OCF:
« on: September 11, 2017, 08:02:06 pm »

I sometimes bounce my Strobe off the walls/ Ceiling behind me when I shoot groups and the lighting is beautiful. Of course I use a hi ISO, about ISO 1000-1200.  My questions is: What if the walls are NOT white?  I am presuming that I can't use this method in that case due to possible color shift from the colored wall. Does anyone shoot this way and with a colored wall?  Thank you

You can bounce off a white reflector. Or a white shirt. Some like the rogue flash bender.

A neutral wall is fine--white or gray. A slightly warm wall is often fine as long as it isn't too much color. Beige is fine. Bright red, not so much. Green is probably the worst.

I might use a soft box Rapid box instead. I have table shots to do and they are all spread apart.  Thank you for your feedback.  Dennis
