Converted to BW in ACR, yet still look color everywehre else
« on: September 07, 2017, 12:20:45 am »

I converted 30 color images in ACR to BW and they look terrific BW in Bridge and they look terrific BW in PS, but on Desktop on Mac still color and when I upload to Blog still color. Really annoying.

If they are raw files, they are still raw files - so outside Bridge/PS/LR they are still raw and colour. Adobe Camera Raw has a Save button. Use it to save B&W JPEGs or TIFs.

You need to actually save the NEW rendered images as a new version (iteration) with those B&W adjustments. Bridge and ACR are only seeing the instructions for the change, you need to export/save the images as a new TIFF, PSD, JPEG etc. Then the edits are 'baked' into the new documents as you desire.

Thanks Andrew will get it going!  So just run image processor 10 to a new folder?

Bit weird as the BW sit next to colors in Bridge and the colors are done, ready to use, so I'll have to run  IP, then replace in folder with colors... more degradation no?

As I said, just use the Adobe Camera Raw dialog - bottom left, Save Image button.
